How Perfectus Cons Limited collects, uses, protects and retains the personal information you send through this website.

01Who we are

This website is operated by Perfectus Cons Limited, a company registered in Mauritius that sets up and manages offshore structures. Enquiries sent through this website are received by Justus van Wyk at Van Wyk Auditors in Pretoria, South Africa, who works in partnership with Perfectus Cons Limited. In this statement “we” and “us” mean Perfectus Cons Limited together with Van Wyk Auditors, so far as they handle your enquiry.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses this website, and we value the trust placed in us. This statement explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are.

02What we collect and why

We collect only what you choose to send us and what the website needs in order to work:

  • Your message. If you use the contact form, the email address you give us, the subject and the text of your message. We use them only to answer your enquiry.
  • Technical details of a form submission. Our server notes the time, the type of browser, a one-way scrambled code derived from your network address (not the address itself) and whether the message was accepted. We use these details to protect the form against abuse.
  • Web server records. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include network addresses and the pages requested, to run and secure the service.

We do not use advertising or analytics tools on this website, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

03How we use and share your information

We use your message to reply to you and to provide the services you ask about. It is delivered to Justus van Wyk by email and may be passed to the people at Perfectus Cons Limited and Van Wyk Auditors who need it to help you.

We do not sell, rent or lease personal information, and we do not use your message for marketing. We share information with others only where you ask us to, where the law requires it, or where a service provider, such as our email and hosting providers, handles it on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.

04Where your information is processed

Messages are received and stored in South Africa and pass through our email provider, Microsoft 365. If you contact us from Mauritius, the European Economic Area or anywhere else, your information is therefore transferred to South Africa and to our service providers’ systems. We take reasonable steps to keep it protected as the laws that apply require, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (South Africa), the Data Protection Act 2017 (Mauritius) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

05How long we keep it

Copies of messages sent through the form are kept in a private, access-restricted record on the web server for up to 120 days, so that no enquiry is lost, and are then deleted automatically. Automated submissions that are rejected are recorded without their text.

Messages in our mailboxes, and records of any services we provide, are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to meet legal and professional record-keeping duties.

06Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It keeps two small settings in your browser: one to remember that you have seen the privacy notice, and one to remember the language you chose, so that the site opens in your language. They contain no personal information, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

07Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you access to it;
  • correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
  • delete it, or restrict how we use it, where the law allows;
  • stop using it where you object, or where you have withdrawn a consent you gave; and
  • give you a copy of the information you provided, in a common format, where the law gives you that right.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will ask you to confirm your identity and will answer within the periods the law sets.

You also have the right to complain to the regulator for your country: in South Africa, the Information Regulator (inforeg@justice.gov.za); in Mauritius, the Data Protection Office; in the European Economic Area, your local data protection authority.

08Security

We keep physical, technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information. Pages and the contact form are served over an encrypted connection. The form is protected by an automated check that does not ask you to solve puzzles. Messages are available only to the people who need them to help you. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send us information you are not willing to share by email.

09Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about children.
